KIXI-AM BOARD OPERATOR – Part-Time

Schedule:To start: 12 hours per week: Saturday 5pm – Midnight; Sunday, 7pm – Midnight;
Other hours as assigned such as fill-in, vacation relief, etc.

KIXI-AM is seeking a qualified, motivated, detail-oriented, and professional individual for a part-time position as a board operator. This is an ongoing posting.

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year of broadcast experience or education.
Experience and familiarity with Audio-Vault or similar digital broadcast automation systems.
Basic audio production skills, including copy writing and voice-over abilities are desired.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
Ability to interact professionally with other team members, clients, and the general public.

Major Responsibilities:

Overseeing studio operations and running the board for multi-hour shifts.
Verifying that all material aired is consistent and compliant with Program Logs.
Loading programming to the automation system.
Some production work which could include copy writing and voicing of station promotional announcements.

NTR Director

Required Skills/Experience:
Create and sell non-traditional revenue opportunities for the Hubbard Seattle radio group. Candidate will report to the Director of Sales and will work with the sales and promotions departments to create, manage and sell sales promotions and station and advertiser events. This candidate will be responsible for selling opportunities independently and working with station Account Executives, advertisers and third party vendors. Candidate should have a minimum of five years radio sales experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Create, write, and develop new business opportunities
Participate in annual budget planning and individual event budget planning
Attend and participate in sales meetings.
Assist in the training of Account Executives on how to sell events.
Assist in the brainstorming of categories to call on for the events.
Assist Sales Managers in managing the New Business Development account lists
Coordinate events as defined by all the necessary steps needing to be accomplished by putting together a high profile event or sponsorship.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients/agencies.
Assist sellers in growing current sponsors revenue share.
Develop customized presentations of the highest quality for new and existing revenue opportunities.
Develop and grow relationships at multiple levels of the customer’s organization in order to guarantee effective contacts internal to the organization and to be aware of problems and opportunities.
Adhere to station policies regarding pricing, merchandising, commercial content, competitive product protection, etc.
