Dave Bestler is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hubbard Radio, LLC. Dave was promoted to this position in April 2011 when Hubbard Radio purchased radio stations from Bonneville International in Chicago, Washington, D.C., St. Louis, and Cincinnati.
Dave has been with Hubbard Radio since May 2004 and until his promotion served as Vice President and General Manager for KSTP- FM (KS95). During his tenure, Dave led KS95 to great ratings and financial success. Under Dave’s leadership the station has gained national recognition, winning two NAB Marconi awards for broadcast excellence and two NAB Crystal awards for community service. He was recognized twice by Radio Ink magazine in it’s “Best Manager in Radio in a Large Market” list.

His career in radio began in 1989 in Minneapolis-St. Paul at WCCO as the Assistant Controller. He worked for eight years in the finance side of the business, with his last position as Market Controller for WCCO-TV, WCCO- AM, and WLTE-FM.

To broaden his knowledge of the radio business, he moved out of finance and into the sales side of the business. His first sales position in 1997 was as National Sales Manager for WCCO-AM and WLTE-FM. In 1998, he was promoted to the General Sales Manager at sister station WXPT-FM. In 2002, he left Minneapolis-St. Paul for two years to work for Cox Radio Louisville, KY. His last position there was Director of Sales for WVEZ-FM, WSFR-FM, WRKA-FM, and WPTI-FM. Hubbard Radio brought him back to the Twin Cities for his first Vice President and General Manager job.

Since returning to the Twin Cities in 2004, Dave has been active in the community, becoming a member of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, which along with Gillette’s Children’s Hospital, are the charities that the KS95 for Kids Radiothon support. Dave is also on the board of directors for Corner House Minnesota and the Minnesota Broadcasters Association.

Dave has been married for 27 years to his wife. Their three kids keep them busy all the time with their activities!
