Joel Oxley is Senior Regional Vice President and Market Manager of Hubbard Radio’s Washington, D.C., market.
Prior to joining Hubbard Radio in April of 2011, Mr. Oxley held the same position for Bonneville International.
Mr. Oxley joined WTOP Radio in 1992 as a Sales Account Executive. He worked his way up the ranks at WTOP, moving from Account Executive, to National Sales Manager, to Local Sales Manager, to General Manager in 1998. In 2001, Mr. Oxley took on the additional role of General Manager for WGMS, and in 2003 was named GM of Z104 Radio.
In 2004, Federal News Radio, 1050 AM WFED , was added to the Bonneville D.C. Radio Group, and he was named Senior Vice President and Market Manager of the entire division. Talk radio 3WT was launched in September of 2007 and also is overseen by Mr. Oxley.
Prior to joining WTOP Radio, he was in print sales at the Washington Business Journal and the Chicago Tribune. He also was in radio sales at WAVA in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Oxley graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management.
He serves on the board of the Metropolitan Police Boys and Girls Clubs and has led his radio stations to multiple awards, including numerous National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi and Crystal Awards for excellence in community service.
Mr. Oxley also has won many industry awards for his achievements. Most recently, he was named by Radio Ink Magazine as one of the “Top Managers in Radio” in 2005 and 2007.
